Description: This 3 day course is the foundation of our industry and designed to make technicians better than ever before at troubleshooting electrical circuits & wiring diagrams in the HVAC systems.

Description:  This 3-day course is designed to give all levels of technicians a deeper understanding of gas and electric furnaces, with ample time to gain hands-on practice in our training lab.

NEC Code Update       Price: $175

This 8 hour course is designed to keep you up to date on the 2011 & 2013 NEC electrical codes.  Recommended attending before taking the 06A Electrical license test

RCW / WAC code Update       Price: $125

This 4 hour course covers current adopted Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 19.28 and related Washington Administrative Codes (WAC).  Recommended attending before taking the 06A Electrical license test

This course has been approved for 4 units toward Washington State 06A Electrical Continued Education units

 

Electrical Theory       Price: $125

Course Covers:

EPA Prep Course & Test for EPA Certification    Price: $145 Includes Test

Description:  This 4 hour course is a preparatory and testing course to pass the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Federal Clean Air Act Section 608 certification.

Course Covers:

  • Core, this information is required by all candidates
  • Type I, covers maintain, service and repair on Small appliances
  • Type II, covers maintain, service and repair on High Pressure systems
  • Type III, covers maintain, service and repair on Low pressure sytems

 

Precision Tune Up Course       Price: $295

Description: This 1 Day class is designed to help all levels of technicians know the proper procedures for performing the ultimate precision tune up in a safe and efficient manner and how to identify weak components to prevent early breakdowns.

Motors Course     Price: $295

Description:  This 1-day class is designed for beginner to advanced technicians to understand HVAC motors and compressors in relation to electrical circuits, diagrams, and troubleshooting methods.  There will be a mix of classroom and hands-on training so that students can practice what they are learning.

  • Understanding motors and compressors

  • Shaded pole motors and its application
  • Permanente Split Capacitor motors

  • Use hopscotch method to troubleshoot Motors
  • Using NEC articles 100, 430 and 440

Open Shop: Proper Brazing Practices             Price: $200

Description:  This course has been designed to focus on common troubled area’s around brazing & leak testing.  This is a 3-4 hour hands on evening course for Service, Maintenance & Install Technicians will cover:          

  • Compressed gas safety
  • Proper set up of Oxygen & Acetylene torches
  • Proper Brazing techniques that will minimize contamination using Nitrogen
  • Proper  use of nitrogen flow regulator
  • Use of Nitrogen regulator for leak testing

 

Open Shop: How to charge a system using Superheat & Subcool    Price: $150

Description:  This has been design to ensure proper service & start up procedures to maximize system efficiencies.  This is a 3-4 hour hands on evening course for Service, Maintenance & Install Technicians  & will cover:          

  • Proper charging practices with different metering devices.  Thermostatic expansion valves, electronic expansion valves,  fixed metering devices
  • Thermostatic Expansion valve operation & troubleshooting
  • Confirming proper airflow to charging chart.  Proving equipment efficiency
